First Love Magazine (FLM) is a platform geared towards helping people navigate through day-to-day life via faith-based content such as articles, podcasts, web series, and short films. Founded in 2003 and launched online in 2008, FLM originally targeted collegians and young adults. However, FLM provides content and messages that relate to people of all ages. It’s all about Kingdom reach, growth, and connection!

Meet Shawn

MEET SHAWN

Innovative, creative, entrepreneurial, and a minister, Shawn Jackson has a heart for God and a passion to spread the Gospel through non-traditional means such as the arts. This unique form of ministry started while he was in college. Shawn had a desire to work in ministry and be an entrepreneur. It was during his junior year that God placed on his heart to start a Christian magazine geared toward collegians. As the concept of the magazine evolved over the years, Shawn began to visualize it as an online platform that would encompass articles, web series, podcasts, and music. Shawn’s love for the arts has been present since his childhood.

After acting in his first school play (in kindergarten), he went on to act in multiple productions, write scripts, poetry, and music, direct, and stage manage. Shawn’s passion for the youth also developed during college. He began to realize that during young adulthood, great foundations of ministry could be laid and built upon for a lifetime. Shawn’s love for God has its roots in his childhood as he was taught about Him by his family. Shawn got saved at the age of 16 and was a part of a Christian high school club. In college, Shawn became a minister-in-training and led an evangelistic campus organization. Shawn truly believes that ministering through the arts is a powerful tool of evangelism!
